Company called TTL sending claim pack for £59.99!

Hi
I've just been contacted by a company called TTL on my mobile phone claiming that they will send full legal detail documents through to me at my house which I only need to sign and forward to the building society who I have my mortgage with. They stated that I can make a claim for missold PPI over the last 12 years of my mortgage. They claim to be handling lots of claims with an average reclaim value of around £1000.
I am concerned at the moment that I have agreed to a fee of £59.99 being charged against my card for this service and where they got my details from in the first place. I wasn't aware that I was being charged £59.99 until the last moment of the call from the legal team and didn't have an opportunity to cancel this. They used the fact that I should be repaid into my current account to get the information.
Has anyone else been contacted by this company, and if so did everything work out OK? I've tried to google the company name and can't find anything. I'm annoyed with myself at the moment as I was caught offguard by the call and gave out too much information, which I now regret. I would have liked to think about it for longer first and read more information about the issue.
I would be grateful for any feedback from other people who have been contacted in a similar way or anyone who has information about this company and what they do. I would also be grateful for feedback from anyone who has succeeded via this route.
Thanks

Hi and welcome.;)
In my opinion do not go there.
You can do all this for nothing apart for posting your letters where recorded delivery is recommended.
And of course if successful you get to keep all your refund.
Check here on the link below on the guidlines of reclaiming and please ask for help anytime.

I really cannot believe how these companies work and the fact that you were asked for credit card details over your mobile:eek:.Hi

I would now ring your bank and perhaps get the payment stopped if you can and also block any future payments to this company also, maybe get a new card would be better. I hope things work out for you as I know how sometimes we can believe anything they tell us (after all we did for the PPI in the first place!!) but really and truely these types of firms that ring you randomly need closing down.0 -

There have been very few MPPI mis-sales and refunds. Its mostly single premium MPPI plans that get this. If you pay monthly then you are paying it exactly as you should be.
Have they given any indication as to why you think you should put in a mis-sale complaint?
These sort of claims from dodgy claims companies tend to be fairly easy for the providers to reject. Therefore leaving you out of pocket for a complaint that had very little chance of success. Luckily its only £59 in this case. One company last year was charging £300 for putting in complaints on pensions that only stood a 1.5% chance of success (FSA figures) They claimed it was a dead cert mis-sale and got refunds in 99% of cases. Its funny how they turned 1.5% into 99%.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
