For anyone on a January detox

"There ARE good detox programmes out the designed to help you kick start your metabolism after a period of indulgence (like Christmas for example) and cleanse your body. The one I did is very easy, safe and proven."
Anything good will be scientifically tested and proven and not stamped on a yogurt pot or enodorsed by some celeb making thousands as a result of people's insecurities.
Far easier to take the scientific approach. Eat no more than 35g of fat per day, take exercise and you will lose weight.
It's called an "advice given by a GP" diet.0 -

I would not take diet advice from a GP :eek:I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

There are no celebs endorsing the one I did. It isn't even advertised."There ARE good detox programmes out the designed to help you kick start your metabolism after a period of indulgence (like Christmas for example) and cleanse your body. The one I did is very easy, safe and proven."

All you need to do is avoid anything processed & full of sugars and only eat natural food that grows above the ground is edible in its natural raw form like our ancestors used to do. It really is that simple.
Following these principles and doing some moderate exercise (wii fit for me) I have lost 3stone and dropped 3 dress sizes, still looking to lose another stone and another dress size before going travelling in a month.0 -

Sensible advice, considering a GP knows nothing about how a body works.
When our cat was ill we always used to take it to the hairdressers for advice on getting it better - vets are just so overrated.0 -

GPs do 1-2 hours training (out of 5 years) on diet and nutrition. I think I'd rather ask an expert, wouldn't you?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Littleberry wrote: »Thnx Sukibean. LOVE smoothies!!! Have one every morning and so if this is a cheaper way of doing it will def give it a go. What are they exactly? Sachets of fruit or ready blended smoothies? I'm pregnant at the moment and so need a way to up the fruit I'm eating. :j
Hi Littleberry
They are simply just frozen satchets of fruit - you get 4 in a packet and they're free from preservatives usually found in bottled Smoothies. I blend freshly pressed apple juice with the fruit and it makes a yummy smoothie!
They've been a bit of a life saver too as I've been snowed in for two days!
Full of vits too so will help with your pregnancy..
Cheers

And you've done a medical degree? I did more than that on diet and nutrition in my first year of medicine.
Who are the 'experts' you refer to, anyway?
OP - thanks for the notice of offer. I might wander over and see what flavours there are. If they're sachets of frozen fruit it'll save all the peeling, chopping, washing up...0 -
