For anyone on a January detox

Hi

I bought some of the new Squeeze Me Blendies from Waitrose yesterday to help with my post Christmas detox. If you buy the Sparkle Fruits variety you get Twinkle Fruits half price. That means eight large smoothies for just 75p each and they're yummy and really fill you up! I like them because you can keep them in the freezer so there's no wastage (and no messy preparation!)

Hope this is a good tip for those looking to detox and save money throughout January!

Cheers

Suki

    a) No such thing as a detox
    b) Smoothies are not very good for you. They are extremely high in calories, mainly because they are packed with sugar. It may be fruit sugar, but that doesn't mean it's good for you!

Surely there is such a thing as detox. It might not include eating or drinking certain products but cutting certain products out such as alcohol, caffeine or drugs.

I am doing a detox next week. Did one in October and lost 13lbs in 9 days and felt great - kept it off too, all perfectly safe. Loved it so I am doing the same one again and encouraging my mates to give it a go too.

katskorner - what did you do? I need to do something, I've been off work for a while and am going back next week and want to do something before. Thanks for any suggestions.

That will be a diet then. I'd bet about 11lbs of your loss was water. Not at all good for you.

Nope. Your body is designed to eliminate toxins itself. You don't store them up waiting for the next fad to get rid of them. It's a load of hocus pocus.

Everything u eat is a diet. It just depends how much you consume as opposed to how much you use in energy as to whether you lose of gain weight.

There ARE good detox programmes out the designed to help you kick start your metabolism after a period of indulgence (like Christmas for example) and cleanse your body. The one I did is very easy, safe and proven.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I can say that having tried this and not being the sort of person to buy into anything that I haven't tried, it worked for me. So that makes me happy and confident to recommend it.
