Should I accept this offer?

Hi, I recently wrote to Sainsbury's asking for my credit card charges to be refunded to me plus interest(the charges were £175). In the same letter I requested £1400 plus interest back as they were charging me for PPI on this credit card that I never asked for and never signed for on the credit agreement.
They have sent me a letter today stating that they will refund me £91 (the difference between what I was charged and twelve pounds that they now charge). They say this is a full and final settlement.
Should I accept this and will they deal with the PPI separately? Or are they hoping that I accept their money and then I cannot claim the PPI back?
Thanks

Hi, Is this actually PPI or just charges applied by the card provider? Have they actually addressed the PPI complaint at all as there is a lot of a difference?weebubbles wrote: »Hi, I recently wrote to Sainsbury's asking for my credit card charges to be refunded to me plus interest(the charges were £175). They say in their letter and I quote "charges to your credit card account" so I am not sure if that is just the default charges or the ppi aswell?
They never mentioned anything about the PPI and the charges and the PPI are from the same credit card account.
I think they are hoping I forget about the PPI and if I accept this offer then I cannot claim the PPI back,0 -
Capital One did this to me, and on the advice of Natwest Staff Member, I refused and insisted on full charges back (see the template letters, no 2 if I recall correctly).
Then they did cave in and gave me everything back.
Would write a separate letter re PPI if I were you, poss dealt with by a diff department?
hth,
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!

Personally I would not accept it as there is a hell of a difference to what you are complaining about and what they have offered as full and final. I would write back to them (of course its your decision here though!!) and tell them you only want to be put back into the position as if the PPI was never sold to you and nothing less and failing them doing this you are now willing to take the complaint to the Ombudsman.weebubbles wrote: »They say in their letter and I quote "charges to your credit card account" so I am not sure if that is just the default charges or the ppi aswell?
