Curiouser and curiouser.
may I ask if the coolant was completely renewed as part of the service program under warranty.
If the coolant correct type and not cross typed (what colour is coolant) then I wonder if secondary belt slipping so no water pump. Would there then be enough gravity to the radiator to cause the fan to initiate i wonder, or maybe temp sensor in the block called..maybe.
are you able to check tension on secondary belt?
just some thoughts HTH

i was out working and got stuck a couple times so there was a
bit of wheel spin and some places i was driving through had slush
or raised snow of 4 or 5 ins in the centre of tracks the gritters had made0
