Oooh - thanks for this. First baby due in a few months! Is there anywhere i can find out what sort of items are in the event? Are the offers and nappies etc... really good? I need a travel cot, steriliser and baby carrier so i'm hoping they might have them too!Debt free date: October 2006 :money:0

What sort of discount do they normally do on nappies? I'm nearly out and don't want to order too many if there's a bargain to be had.
Many thanks.0 -
the offers are good and the good bits seem to go quite quickly, i remember one time all the car seats went in a first few days. the high chairs were good and the buggies looked ok too last time.
they normally have bottles and sterilisers on offer, and some items go right down in the end few days, but it's not worth waiting i did before and when i went back all the bed guards had gone!!
good luck hope you find lots of bargains for the new baby!!0 -

Gillby they have travel cots and sterilisers but Ive never seen baby carriers their.
TK Maxx have had some lovely slings/wraps at the minute though, I got a 'simply good' wrap for £16 recently and my DD seems to love it, sends her asleep within 5 mins of being in it and much comfier than baby bjorn type slings.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
When the last baby event finished in our store I picked up 2 car seats for £12.50, were £25 in event, they had travel cots and highchairs for £12.50 too.0

i'd stock up on wipes and nappy bags if i were you - you can never have too many. Don't buy too many size 1 nappies - you soon move on to sizes 2 and 3 even if your baby is small (mine were both 6lb). unless you are going to need a travel cot regularly ie, only using it once or twice a year for hols, i'd recommend borrowing one or getting one second hand. i made the mistake of buying one - it got used for 7 days and i sold it recently for less than half i paid for it - it was like brand new. can't help with the carrier - never had one. i'd recommend also getting baby gro bags - never had them for my first - didnt see the point - when number 2 didnt settle at night when put back after his numerous feeds - a friend suggested them, and they made a big improvement!
good luck!0 -
