Savings to pay off loan

At the end of this month i will be paying off my credit card leaving me with about 4k in debt to a loan.
I can pay this off when i have saved up, which should take me around 4 months
Would it be worth putting this in a savings account for these couple of months?
I currently have the A&L current account which has apparently the highest interest rate for current accounts, but i think the ICICI interest rate is a bit higher, (and seems to be top on most sites ive looked at for normal savings) and also i wont have temptation to spend then if its not in my normal account.
Is this a good plan? I wont have to pay fee's etc?
After the debt is paid, i plan to start up the ISA route and should have 3k in there by the end of this financial year, and will have a look at those around November time.
Then next year I will probably be a lot more active on this board
Any advice or comments most appreciated
Cheers

Yes that is a good plan if you are unable to over pay on your loan.ICICI is the best one as far as I can see at the mo, I have opened one and have had no problems ( though some have)...go for it!MFWB
