V5c Waiting Times

Hi, I bought my current car from a dealer on the 12th December but have yet to receive the V5c back from the DVLA. It's never took this long in the past or could it be a bit of a backlog with Christmas?

Also I noticed the dealer got my house number wrong on the warranty certificate which I have only just noticed so I'm worried in case they put the same wrong house number on the V5c. (Extra 1 in front of my real house number which does not exist). They have my correct address on the sales invoice though. :eek:

It takes around 2 weeks. It will definitely be due to the christmas post and also the weather.

Yeah definitely due to holidays and post.
Also, as long as you've got the green slip, you should be okay with regards to the house number, if you don't receive the v5 after 4 weeks i would call up DVLA just to confirm with them whats going on.

I put my reg on retention just before christmas, had all paper work back on the 4th january, must be some sort of record!

same thing happend to us new car mid nov and 19th dec still no documents and also guy i sold car too hadnt recived his even tho i post away my part special delivery! just fone and ask them too send another!! 2nd one arrived in 5 days
