(Interesting how careful the OP was to avoid giving a reference, thus giving the impression that he worked it all out for himself...)

BTW I picked it up from a footy forum, so providing a link would have been pointless. Maybe you're too impressionable :D

can't wait to try this when i get home.

is there any way to turn off those annoying alerts you get when you try to install something and it asks "should i do this" - i'm like - well bloody of course, otherwise i wouldn't have asked !!
No offence, but if you don't know how to turn off UAC then you shouldn't be tinkering with the options in this "god mode" when you get home - you could do your computer a mischief.

Wouldn't it be shocking if you added a command line to Windows Boot sequence and you find that the Win7 user interface is infact a mask over OSX lol

Or Even a closed sources Linux lol MS would really have trouble justifying the price tag.

I read about god-mode in a couple of other forums. Might try it.

Re: UAC it's much better than it was. I've set mine to: Notify me when programs try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop).
    I went away and now I'm back.:j:j

I just knew some smart !!!! would come back with that! Actually, I got them from a systems administration colleague at work, well over ten years ago, so they probably originated on Windows 2000 Pro... (I have forgotten the name of my then colleague, but for the purposes of this forum I shall call him Tarquin...)

works in Vista 32bit version as well. Its not spectacular, just makes a folder with all the settings from the control panel listed together.
