Look forward to it raparinga, just be prepared. The food is lovely, staff are excellent, bed is large and comfy. Bar is free. There is a small library. If you have a small laptop then take it plus dvd`s. I stood it at the end of the bed on a chair and we watched it while sitting on top of the bed. We took ds lite with a scrabble card each and played wirelessly. There is a nice little shop and you can get the daily papers. If you don`t like your room then ask to change immediately, they will do it if they can

There are little cards on a rack by the massive jigsaw, one of them has all the buses and routes and is very handy to keep in your purse. If you are fairly fit then make sure you find some of the wonderful archaeology like the agata catacombs, the hypogeum (book now!!), the gigantium temples etc

Take meds, just in case as you have to ask for ANYTHING in the tiny pharmacy and they are EXPENSIVE eg paracetamol is over 3 euros for 32. They also tend to flog some useless, mildly herbal cough meds for over 7 euros and it lasted for 3 days

Valetta has some great museums but shopping is useless

we took 2 big mugs and extra drinks and boy was that worthwhile. I wish we had taken a radio as the tv is limited

Your suggestions are very helpful and I appreciate them. I would not have thought of taking my little travel radio, but will do so. Saga's website now says: "If you want to go out during the evenings our shuttle buses run to Buggiba until 9pm on request." It seems that service was not provided during your stay.
