I have found that beets, brocolli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, legumes and turnips like alkaline soil (high ph).
Blueberries grow well in acidic soil.....let me think
Potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans and onions will all grow in acidic soil0 -
for alkaline/chalky soils - meadow/wildflowers or warm climate plants ie., mediterraean - bay, rosemary, fennel etc.,
and
for acid soil - rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas and heathers.these prefer damp shady woodland areas..0
