Windscreen fitters-questions
I was supposed to have a replacement windscreen fitted by a well known company today. As instructed left my keys at work(i'm a lorry driver) with the office. When i returned i was told that they could'nt replace it due to the ambient air temperature(damp) getting into my car when they replace it. They want to do it undercover.
Now to me this is a load of bo**ocks, i could understand if it was chucking it down with rain/snow etc.before i get in contact with them is this remotely true or was it because they did'nt want to do it in the cold.

I don't know why but it strikes me that it might have a ring of trith about it (I would have thought cold might affect it).
I will be interested to see what the others think.0 -

This is interesting. After a very well known glass company came on Monday to repair my chipped windscreen and left with a 2ft crack along it (apparently it was too cold - why not refuse to repair?), I'm left with a booking for tomorrow to replace it. Sounds as if they may not be able to do it. Whilst I appreciate that they can't control the weather, it is a massive inconvenience!
We'll see what they have to say tomorrow (if they don't cancel my appointment!)0 -

They couldnt do it due to the ambient air temperature as it effects the way the glue sets.0
