Real player pain

Can anyone offer advice on real player.I prefer using windows media player and have set it as my default player however on some websites they prefer real player and want to use that to play clips.Everytime real opens it wants to update and then freezes.Can I delete real player from my add/remove programmes.If i do this will the clips then open using windows media player

i had this problem and i just removed windows media completely and then installed it again! worked for me0

Ok which way round should i do it remove real then install the real alternative or other way round please0 -
i kno but sum webpages but all webpages when i had this problem would only display the realplayer box even if it was intended to be media playe and wouldnt work0

remove realplayer then download the new oneEx forum ambassador

In windows media player go to
Tools->Options->Filetypes
Pick the filetypes you want windows media player to play in the future.
