Hi, i'm new to this website but I wanted to ask for some advice, I have been rang by Ismart today who have said there is a good chance they can get me some money back and will send me something to sign.
I have had numerous credit cards and have 2 loans but am almost certain I have never taken any insurance on any of them and when Ismart rang today they never even mentioned insurance. Is this the only way I can get money back from these companies.
Any advice on this matter would be very helpful.
Thank You in advance
Katie

Hi Katie, I am not too sure what money you would want "back" other than missold insurance? Why would you think you could get anything other than that that was missold? Are you on about the loans/credit being missold? If this is the case then perhaps the loans forum would be better to post.katie123666 wrote: »Hi, i'm new to this website but I wanted to ask for some advice, I have been rang by Ismart today who have said there is a good chance they can get me some money back and will send me something to sign.

As regards these types of claims companies, most of the time they are just a scam encouraging people to put in fraudulent claims you will find.0 -

Hi Katie and welcome.;)
I would personally be careful in using these companies, as they will take a percentage of your refund as well.
If you do this yourself with help from this site, you will get to keep all your money, all you pay for is for posting of your letters where recorded post is suggested for your proof of posting.
Look here at this link below, you will find this very useful, and easy, check it out and of course if you require help please feel free to post up.

You actually write to the ones who arranged and sold you the finance, so if you used a broker you write to them.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Katies does not think she had any insurance attached to these loans/credit and ismart did not mention claiming back insurance anyway so I assume that ismart are after claiming "other" things instead. :rolleyes:Hi Katie and welcome.;)

Thanks for the responses. I dont see what Ismart can get me back if I dont have insurance as it was my choice to take out the loans so I think i'm just going to ignore the letter when it comes through.
Thanks again for responding :j0 -

They claim back any unfair charges that have been applied to any of your account.
I thought the same, but they just got me £300 for unfair credit card charges. I dont know the legal ins and outs unfortunately. They did take a £40 charge off me for it though.0
