We’re struggling at the moment with the huge volumes of messages we’re getting from Forumites about coronavirus and the impact it’s having on their finances. We’re a small team and we’re doing our best to manage this spike in demand.

It’s an exceptionally tough time for the holiday, travel and events industry, and we are swamped with questions about your consumer rights around cancelled concerts, flights, hotels, theatre shows etc.

We’re a small team and we want to make sure Forumites are getting the answers they need accurately and quickly. So for the time being, we are hitting pause on this board and redirecting everyone to the MSE coronavirus guides that contain all the info we have – these guides are being constantly updated:
Coronavirus Help & Your Rights * Coronavirus Travel Rights

And of course, we have the Coronavirus Boards on the forum:
Coronavirus Support & Help * Coronavirus Travel Help & Info

Coronavirus: The latest from MSE

The MSE team is working extremely hard to keep the info we have about your travel rights, cancellation rights, sick pay (and more) up to date.

What's the deal?

Lastminute.com* is offering standby tickets to Vue cinemas in London for £4.25 plus a 25p booking fee. The normal price for a ticket to the Leicester Square Vue Cinema is £12.50.

Isn't there a catch?

The tickets can be used on Monday, Tues, Wed & Thurs after 12 noon on your chosen day. You can buy two tickets per transaction per household.

What do you need to do?

Go to Lastminute.com* do a search for "Vue cinema" in the box on the top left hand side and the Standby ticket offer should be the top result.

Buy a voucher from the site picking the day you'll use it. Then, on the day, give the ticket office your confirmation email and pick the film you'd like to see that has seats available. You'll also need to have the credit card with you that you bought the voucher with.

* Using this link helps the site stay ad-free and free to use, as it's an ‘affiliated link’ which invisibly takes you via commercial price comparison services like Moneysupermarket or Find, which then pay this site per click.

You shouldn’t notice any difference, the link doesn’t impact the product at all and the editorial line (the things I write) is NEVER impacted by the revenue. If it isn’t possible to get an affiliate link for the best product, it is still recommended and still included. The following https://www.lastminute.com is an identical unaffiliated link provided for the sake of transparency. For more details read how this site is financed.
