DHL suck!!

I'm very angry at the DHL delivery person!

I bought a digital camera from Amzaon, they sent it via DHL.

I wasn't home this morning so couldnt take delivery, so instead of leaving the parcel with a neighbour or taking it away with them they left it in a "safe place".

The note on the card said "I have left your parcel in a safe place SIDE GATE". Now imagine my confusion as I dont have a side gate!! So I go into the back garden and there it is, on the patio, face down, my brand new digital camera. There's no side gate, just a brick wall! A 8ft brick wall!! So he must of dropped it from over the top!

Make sure that you persue this- I am having similar problems with Parcelforce. I don't know if they are parto f the same company or not, but their service is so bad. I've had parcels not delivered, and previoulsy thrown over gate/ left outside/in the road/in the rain. Sometimes a card posted through, sometimes not. And to add to that signed by the driver on the website, forging my signature!! And custmer services so bad!!! automated phonelines, standard email replies 1 week later, and nobody to speak to!! Anyone else had similar problems?

i to hate this company i had to sit in all day for a collect from them and when they stull hadn't turned up at five contacted the company i am dealing with they in turn called dhl and they said '' They couldn't find the address so didn't bother i was so mad had taken a day of work etc etc . arranged another day and they found it no problem get a feeling they just didn't bother

I didnt even think about the signiture!

I would of had to of signed for it, so he must of forged that too!?!?

I am going to surprise you guys: Parcelforce is a crap company but because it is cheap, other greedy crap companies like Aria Technologies will use them for deleiveries

Even the great giant FedEx is utter "merde": I had to send a letter for work to Washington for 48 hours later and guaranteed. Our normal company dispatcher could not guarantee it so I arranged for FedEx to come and pick it up. I left them with my contact number (landline, did not have a company mobile) and my name for them to call me nce they were at reception so I could come down with the letter and hand it to them in person. They were supposed to come around before 12pm. 12pm came and no one turned up, I kept on phoning the central FedEx number all afternoon and got the same answer: yes they will turn up later. i missed my lunch break, missed my doctor's appoitnment for being told at 5pm: "oh well he has already come round but no one had a package for him. it s too late now".

Turned out that the guy that turned up never got my details passed on, he just asked reception if there was a parcel for him, and since reception had no clue, he just left without trying to investigate with the central. This guy was not even FedEx, it was a subcontracted company that was dealing with our area.

My parcel came from DHL/amazon this am. Driver didn`t use the bell but banged on the door so hard and repeatedly that I thought that he would come through.

Well, at least he knocked rather than just sticking a card through the door without bothering to knock or ring.

DHL made a delivery to our office today. They left it in the front entrance hall for anyone to steal or trip over and didnt come upstairs to get it signed for. Lucky we are honest, otherwise we could have claimed we never received the delivery. We are getting a discount on our order but again are having to complain nearly every single time about their deliveries.
