Biggar.. it's great. It's council run and only cost us £10 a night. Kids took their bikes and spent the whole week going round the boating lake...plenty of other kids to play with and a playpark on site. £5 bought a family tickets for all day use of the boats on the lake and the tennis courts. Smashing wee cafe for bacon rolls and the golf clubhouse for meals and drinks at night, if you want to eat out.....all on site!! Biggar itself is fab, plenty of places to get takeaway or eat in, and a big playpark. We had a great holiday and will be back this summer.

Scotland is beautiful...but please please research the midge "issue" before you decide when & where to go. They can wreck a camping trip if you're unprepared.Only dead fish go with the flow...0
