Hi, i'd like to relax for my birthday and go away with friends, but it must be self catering (a vegan and veggie), have 2 double beds, another bed and a log fire! We want some where with nice walks and a pub so are looking at the Peak District but it's so hard to find ones that are actually somewhere nice and not actually in a big town! We are from the east midlands - any good recomendations for other places are welcome too...
THANKS!
THANKS!

Can't recommend anywhere specific but try www.cottageguide.co.uk or www.holiday-rentals.co.uk and book direct with the owners (avoiding booking fees!).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Have you had a look at Tideswell? I've got family near there and it's got good walking, nice pubs and lots of holiday cottages. If you google 'holiday cottages tideswell' you'll get loads of sites.0

I live in the peak district, have a look at villages you like and see if they have a website alot of local villages do and there maybe cottages on there, i.e www.youlgrave.co.uk
Or look in yell.com then see if the place you like has a website i.e
http://www.thekingsativyhouse.co.uk/
And lastly have a look at Youth hostels there are some fantastic ones some with luxury accomodation there for everyone:

Good Luck I hope you enjoy your holiday.0 -
thanks everyone.
i hadnt thought to narrow it down to a particular village first, and appreciate the tideswell recomendation.
and thanks for the links to no-booking fee sites - it's a help to not pay the 30quid fee on the only site my OH has used before.
daftly, i hadnt even thought of Youth Hostels, even though i stayed in a great and pretty one in the lovely villiage of Castleton last year! doh!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
