Last week I had a problem related to Add-ons. It was sorted with advice from this forum. Since then : -
I am not recognised on MSE and have to keep signing in.
I regularly get a pop up box re "WebMail" with one of those squiggly
jumble of letters and numbers.
I have been searching for HOME insurance but am unable to
link to the BUY NOW page when I find a quote I like.
Some problems are resolved by using IE instead of Google Chrome or Firefox
but I understand IE is not as secure as the two mentioned.
Does anyone know what is causing all this?

There are some unusual things there, so before going off looking for other things, I would check there is nothing bad going on:
The best thing is to scan with MalwareBytes - install, update, quick scan, fix and post the log here. Then reboot and use HijackThis - full scan, don't fix anything, just post the log.0 -
Although I had Malwarebytes there was no page with the option to do a scan so I downloaded it again and this is the result from the quick scan with the latest version. It looks nothing like the scans I use to see when I did this in the past. What have I done wrong?
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.43
Database version: 3508
Windows 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2
Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18865

I have an idea that the problems I have now are from the ADD-ON changes I made last week.

The MalwareBytes log is clean, but it was worth checking.
If you run HijackThis, it will show what is running, and maybe give a pointer to the problem.0
