Sending photographs by email

I have had a digital camera for Christmas and have managed transfer the photos onto my computer in "my pictures". I would like to send some of the photos to friends and family by email but when I right-click on the photo and send it to email I have send them one at a time, sending a separate email with each photo. I have received photos in the past from people and they send more than one attachment with the email. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I would like to send half a dozen different photos per recipient in just one email.

As Julie says if you go into your email account first, then write your email, then click attach. Go and find photo and attach it. Then do it again, and again etc.
Just bear in mind that too many attachments can slow down an email, so you might want to limit it to 4 or 6 per email.
Another option is to put them on an online photo album like picasa or flickr, and email the link to your friends / family. You then only have to do it once and it will not slow down your computer or email system.
Hope that helps.0 -
pramsay13's suggestion is the best really. Download Picasa to manage the photos on your PC and use an online Picasa photo album to share them. You can make them private so only your friends can see them.
I think some ISPs limit the size of attachments on emails too so you can't send lots of pictures at once. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Use Windows Movie Maker0

Yea i've got a slow broadband connection and it can be a real pain when people send me emails with lots of full size digital photos attached0 -
If you have Vista then what you do is open up Windows Photo Gallery (in the start up panel). Select each picture using "control plus left click". When you have selected all the pictures you want to send, select "Email" (along the top of the screen). A box will appear asking what size (I normally select "medium"). Then wait a few seconds and the email with the photos attached will pop up for you to type your message. Dont send too many photos in one email - it will be too much. Hope this helps.Tact: getting your point across without stabbing someone0
