Due to various disabilities, which are just getting worse, I'm having to use a lot of water because of the extra washing and having to constantly wash my hands.
Currently, the cost of water is included with my rent; but this won't always be the case.
Does anyone know if there are any schemes to help?

Yes.If you are disabled and need to use more water for various reasons like having to do more washing because of soiled bedding. Taking longer in shower etc etc.What they do in our area is if you are on water meter they calculate how much is the average water usage for your type of property.Then they cap it at that amount. So if you use less than that amount you only pay for what you use but if you use more it is capped at the average rate which is what you pay.Hope that makes sense.
I found details about it in the leaflet that is sent with your annual water bill about what money is spent on etc.(The one people normally throw away without reading)0 -

its called watersure..all water boards do it.click on yours look for help or can't pay bill ....
maybe eligible for reduction if :
1.you or some one in house hold is on one benefits or tax credits or below....supply is metered !
2.you are responsible for 3 or more children under 19 in full time education
3.or you or child or person receiving benefit..have a specified medical condition requiring to use more water than normal ( list on illnesses on the web site )
benefits :
.child t/c..housing b..income support job seekers..I/S..means tested council tax nenefit..pension credit..working tax c..income related employment and support allowance.

you can ring them they send form to fill in or do it over the phonethe truth is out there ... on these pages !!0 -
Isnt this only available to those who have children though? I cant get any help with my water bills as I dont have any children.0

Homemade, it doesn't seem to be just those with children. You need to be in receipt of a benefit listed on the link below and either qualify because of children or disability. Here's the link from my water supplier:
