Amazon sell second hand faulty electrical items AS NEW

It has come to my attention (though dealing with a complaint with them) that Amazon are selling second hand (returned) FAULTY electrical items as new.

I was never aware of this until - after 8 weeks of asking them to return an air purifier to the manufacter - they admitted that they had re-sold it, even though they knew that it was pumping out black soot (which damaged my home).

I took it to the Managing Director, Brian McBride, but his Executive Assistant Ronan O'Leary offered no explanation and seemed happy for me to report it to Trading Standards, which I have.

If you are having problems with Amazon, please PM me and I will give you direct email and postal addresses to save you some of the time I spent on it.

Hope this helps someone.
