Hi there.
My wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and im planning (if the weather is nice) to take my good lady on a romantic picnic. Can anyone recommend a nice spot near the Leeds/Harrogate are? Somewhere nice but not to busy although it wouldn’t be the end of the world if people are about… 2places I can think of is Bolton Abbey and Fountains Abbey… a fair way so anything a bit nearer better.
Thanks

How about Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough?? Some lovely spots near the river.

It's a bit further out but how about Castle Howard? It gets a mention in a book I've got called '1000 Places to See Before You Die'. We went a while ago and thought it was stunning.
Kind regards0 -
Don't know if you fancy venturing into the dales, but a couple of places worth taking a trip to is - gargrave (stepping stones over the river), and malham - lovely little village in the heart of the dales.0

Gargrave and Malham sound nice.. are places suitable for quiet picnics easy to find there?
