Right folks.. replacement pc arriving saturday,a longday ofinstallingsoftwarebeckons.

I do need to fit a wireless card to it (I have a wireless belkin box router thingy set up already) and could use some help!!

I'mgetting a refurbished dell dimension 9150. Is there a link to a card type that would fit, ideally one I can whizz into local PC world and pick up, and an idiots guide to fitting it anywhere on the web?

I am also (perhaps foolishly) assuming all I need to do is copy settings from laptop onto desktop in 'connections' tab and all will be well... or is that too simple?

You guys save me a fortune on tech helplines, you really do!

Thanks and virtual jaffa cakes in advance,

Emmzi

You only need to equip the PC with wireless, if it is not near to your Belkin router. If it is nearby just connect using an Ethernet cable.

Annoyingly the phone point is upstairs... don't ask me why BT made it that way... so it's an afternoon with the case open for me...

Make sure you order online for Collect@store to get it cheaper than if you just go into the store to buy it off the shelf (I have read that sometimes they just grab it off the shelf if it's not in the back). Maybe take a printout of your order/reference too in case they dispute something. ;)
