Leather settee ripped - HELP!

My leather settee has a small inch long rip on the arm courtesy of my little princess , can anyone advize if it can be repaired or how to stop it getting bigger.

if the rip is a clean cut then use garment glue to glue a piece of leather underneath it. carefully line up each side of the tear and place a heavy object on it for an hour or two.0
