Am I entitled to a free eye test?

I am nearly 17 weeks pregnant and have my exemption card for free prescriptions and to see my dentist.

I need to have my eyes tested as I am sure they are worsening. My DP asked if I could use my card for the test too? I don't know it doesn't say on there and I can't find much on the net about it.

Please can anyone let me know as I would like to make one this week.

Hi, I don't think being pregnant entitles you to free sight tests. I checked it out when I was pg too, but you could always ask at your local opticians.

No it doesn't cover eye tests. I usually see if I can find a voucher for a free eye test at D & A when I need to go.:D

Join the Boots Healthy Living club and they give you a voucher for a free eye test at Boots Opticians.

I had an eye test a couple of weeks ago - the optician said they don't give pg women free tests (I asked! lol )
