Shopping List Creator

Hello all,

I have created an Excel spreadsheet to help with the weekly shop. I'd love to post it here but I have no clue  how to attach a file.

To wet your appetites:beer: , you have a page to select the main meal and accompianaments for each day of the week. Each meal is attached to a list of ingredients that you sleect or not depending on whether you need to buy them. You press a button and it generates a shopping list for you. This list is incorporated into a larger list of all shopping items.

If someone can tell me how to attach, I'll post with full instructions.

Cheers!

Joe

There is no way to attach files on these forums.

If you'd like to email the file to me I'll host it on the web page that has our other spreadsheet offerings available for download.

    Ohh I can't wait.
I've tried doing this myself but I'm not that good at excel or carrying on a project.

    Hi Squeaky,

thanks for this. Can I just say that the spreadsheet will warn about macros when opening. Please select ENABLE MACROS. It uses a couple of basic macros to refresh the shopping list when the big blue button is pressed.

    Cheers again!

    Hi Folks,

ONE LAST THING: When downloading from Squeakys web site, choose SAVE and save to a location of your choice. Choosing OPEN seems to cause problems with the macros.

If anyone has any issues, post or PM me and I'll help the best I can.

joesave - I'm sure your post is well intentioned but I notice you appear to have joined the forums with the sole intention of promoting your program.

Personally, I'm very wary of posts from newbies who ask for forum members personal emails with a view to file sharing. Can you allay these concerns?

I have been lurking around these boards for a couple of years and have saved at the very least a few hundred pounds by following the advice given, so I thought I'd give something back.

My intention is not to "promote" my program (there is no "sale" or commercial background to this) but to share something that has been a big help to me controlling my weekly shopping spend. This is a spreadsheet I knocked up in a couple of hours of my spare time. It's helped me, so it should help other people.

I don't think I will be able to put to rest fears anyone may have about giving out their email addresses, but they have a choice whether to give it out or not. I have chosen to make my email public in my profile.

Besides, no need for people to give me their emails now since the file is posted.
