Old job and department closed - where do i stand

Hello
Need some advice.
I work in a specialist area of law but have been on maternity leave. During this time my department was closed down and therefore my job went with it.
Am i entitled to redundancy?
At the moment they are saying they are going to offer me a job in another department of which I am not qualified.
Do I have to take this job?
Or am i entitled to redundancy?
Need some advice.

Just a useless hunch, but I'm guessing it's not employment law.0
