I've written this before but after submitting it as a thread nothing came up - so I'm trying again
I'm thinking of getting an electronic reader as I must go through at least 3 books a week and my bookshelves are getting quite full!
So if anyone has one could you please give me the pro's and con's on owning one.
There's a few questions that I would like to know but the main one is...
Do you have to download them onto laptop first then transfer them to your electronic book ?
Is it easy to do this as I'm not as up-to-date on the tec side as I ought to be
Any info would be very grateful

Right now, if you happen to live in the US of A some of the e-readers available allow you to acquire e-books over the mobile phone networks (example: Amazon Kindle) but for the most part you will indeed need to download the books using a proper computer. In some cases, this means installing some extra software (example: Adobe Digital Editions) to deal with the copy protection used with certain formats.Do you have to download them onto laptop first then transfer them to your electronic book ?
