After the Employment Tribunal I've still not been paid

Please help.
My OH attended employment tribunal and was awarded a small amount which was due to be paid within 42 days.
It has now passed 42 days and the solicitor has no answers. Solicitor has been absolutely useless and OH wants to make a complaint.
1) Is there an ombudsman who oversees solicitors?
2)Immediately, what can OH do to get his money/alert somebody else that solicitor is not dealing with this case and monies are overdue?
ACAS say they can't assist as OH already represented -by the useless solicitors. (OH won case as it was black and white reason, solicitor useless for too many reasons to go into on open forum, needless to say, case wasn't won because they acted as representation.)
Thank you very much.

You need to try and chase the debt through the normal route, it may be worth writing giving 7 days to pay the debt and send it recorded.
Then after that time you need to start court proceedings, the route taken depends on the amount owed.
Hope this helps0 -
So, if you're represented by a solicitor, it seems one has no recourse if they end up being utterly !!!!less? And now, not being paid the amount awarded after winning a case and it's gone past the time limit set by the court and again, there's no recourse here? Crazy.
Thank you to all who contribute to all of this super site:smileyhea !
