hi
There are only selected forums on MSE that I am interested in, however when I use the quick link facility "today's posts" every post in all forums are listed.
Does anybody know if there's a way to mask the forums that I consider unwanted from the "today's post" result?
Thanks in advance

Not sure if I fully understood the question, but what about this:
Using http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html
Enter relevant search criteria (keywords, Username)
then under "Search Options" within "any Date" select "Yesterday" and "and Newer"
On the right hand side hold down the Ctrl key and highlight each forum to search.
Hope that helps:j

Hi and Thanks
I had looked at saving preferences on the advanced search page but I found the search fields do not accept wild cards.
one can link straight to todays posts by adding (do=getdaily) to the forum url, and to go further I would like to mask the forums by their allocated number. ie The Water forum =79 therefore F=79
so for example I would paste the following into the address bar:
forums.moneysavngexpert.com/do=getdaily&F=31&F=32&F=33

OK Duncan, I'm with you now. Did a quick bit of research and logical thinking from what I found. I think this will do the job for you.
"http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?do=getdaily&include=17,28,29" (without quotes)
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?do=getdaily&include=17,28,29
Hope that does it for you.:j

wow thanks HoofeHearted.
that is exactly what I was looking for :T
I had joined the vbulletin board itself to get the answer but you have solved it thankyou so muchg.
when I have had a few less beers I will post back because I am sure this will be usefull to others. Normally this does not matter on forums but because this one is so large it will really make a difference.
thanks agian:beer:
