Cold kitchen!

My kitchen is an extension behind our garage. It's got a double radiator which keeps it warm but when the heating goes off, the warmth seems to disappear very quickly. The radiator is directly below a Velux window and of course, there's the door which leads onto our freezing cold garage. We have a (cold) ceramic tiled floor. The roof has insulation put in by the builder: not sure how much.
Can anyone please suggest any ways to keep the heat in longer?
