  • I love snow! But I'm fed up of the stress it's causing! I manage a care home, worked from home yest, but decided to do a late today so the roads were clearer on my drive in (commute 40 miles!), but could end up staying here tonight! Planning on finishing 8.30pm and staying at Mum's who lives a couple of miles away, but the roads look awful! Staff have made amazing efforts to get in, but we're constantly putting contingencies in place for people not getting in and working on it a shift at a time! I'm in Yorkshire and think there's more snow tonight! Roll on Friday I'm on a week's leave!

I'm in Yorkie too Jooles. My son is staying down south with his GF and is now panicking on how the heck he gets home!!
  • Im in Norfolk and we haven't had any real snow since before xmas. Few flakes tonight but it hasn't settled. They keep saying we'll have it bad but its not reached us yet! My DF was stuck in his lorry last night in Manchester somewhere though and he was not too pleased when I told him we have ice but no snow!

We're in North Yorkshire, there hasn't been a great deal of snow but it's still brought everything to a standstill. My parents are in Manchester and they've not been able to get out to go to work, my mum has been digging people out of the snow while she's been stuck at home as they keep trying to turn round on her street! Hope it clears soon we're supposed to be heading to manchester this weekened, loads of the roads were closed when we went on saturday, took 3 hours each way

But whn i went into town around 3pm high street wasnt at all full of snow....but did get bargins in M&S as needed to get food and they were reducing a lot of their food. Albeit i brought mainly desserts that were reduced to £1 instead of £2/3!!! In this weather u need to!!! x

Another Kent lass, near Faversham! We have got about four inches now, more snow predicted overnight. Was off work today because my son's school is closed. I am guessing it will be closed tomorrow too.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o
