Probably because we're the ones who can't get to work! Really annoying because I have just bought a new car; I am waiting for someone to come and fit new tyres so it's parked on the road rather than on my sloping driveway - although they might not even turn up. I am TERRIFIED someone is going to slide into it!0

I'm in Manchester and had yesterday off! The snow here was about a foot deep but its melting... slowly now. My OH went into work this morning and yesterday and only 3 people out of about 30 turned up. He's about to leave to come home again.
It took me half an hour to get my car out of its parking space this morning... nightmare! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -

I'm near manchester (wigan) and it's atleast a good 12 inches I had to go out last night for my work (ironing service) so as you can imagine I wasn't chuffed but I have a Jeep and had no problems I was out for a hour and at the most I only seen 10 cars!!

WOW 12 inches! That's insane. We have about 4 but it's still brought everything to a standstill. Snow days are pretty much the only time that 4 inches can keep women in bed all day...0

We're in Manchester too! Still not really melting, all along our road its been sort of compacted into a layer of snow ice, really dangerous, but got to get to work so that's that!0

err, I'm in the Essex - we've a couple of inches of snow, but I made the most of it by going to the shops. Shops were almost empty -it was brilliant0

Still over a foot deep here but work from home so no issue (apart from kids being off school so catching up on paperwork)0
