yay - all the schools in our county are closed tomorrow. And they will decide tomorrow afternoon for Friday. Somehow, don't think they'll open - if it gets as cold as has been forecast, then it is going to be very icy.0

£142 for full service and new spark plugs...phew....it was the spark plugs that were causing the engine management, it said he doubted if they had ever been changed. Runs much better now
Does however need a new exhaust soonish pah!
off to weigh in now at SW...not going to be good! ah well there is always next week
I hate these things, I'm sure they are just designed to make you take the car to the garage! Our main car is a Chrysler PT Cruiser, if the EM light comes on Chrysler tell us that it will be £95 an hour to 'check it out'! Most of the systems it covers are to do with emissions...if its something serious the engine stops.
Our local garage checks it and clears it for nothing apart from us promising to MOT our cars there each year.:D stay wonky

Sally - As one that's been there (and my god DD1 knew exactly which heart strings to pull when she wanted to) and come out the other side....Sometimes you have to be selfish and think of "your" needs....not B's - not DH's but yours...what do you want from the rest of your life....B and DH will still have a relationship whatever you decide to do. One thing I will say is you will know what to do when the time is right. I hated living a lie and making the step to leave was the best I ever made.....the feeling of freedom and the weight that was lifted from my shoulders was amazing. Ok so I was utterly broke and life was hard but I loved it. It's a difficult time for all of you and I expect DH is feeling utterly despondant and useless (however he shows it)...maybe it's worth shoving loads more household stuff onto him to make him feel worthwhile and see if that improves his enthusiasm.
Hope you get it sorted, I remember those days off feeling utterly stressed and would never go back to them. It will get better x"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

When I had my Carlton, I found online instructions for doing the engine management tests - with a paperclip!! Instead of paying £60 or whatever it is to hook it to the computer, took the cover off the fuse box, stuck a paperclip in and it flashed a sequence through the dashboard. Then compare the sequence to a list online - ta daaaaaaaaa! Idle sensor valve"Stay Wonky":D
