Whenever I listen to anything on my pc the speakers are really crackling

Crackling usually occurs because a conneciton is not being made properly. Check that all connectors are plugged in properly ... if so then try a different set of speakers, if they work OK it is likely to be your speakers. If they also have a problem it could be your a problem with your sound card (or circuitry on the motherboard).
