School shoe box for home use

I'm making up a bespoke cupboard interior in one of our bedrooms and I want some sort of shoe storage system but preferably not just a rack type.

I did think the bench type of shoe boxes they have in primary schools would be ideal. It's basically a wooden bench suitable for sitting on, with square spaces underneath for the shoes.

Anyone seen anything like this? It needs to be around 1.2mtrs long.

You could try the Leksvik Shoe Bench from Ikea. We have it and it's pretty sturdy. It's 1.2 Metres long.

I couldn't find that on the Ikea site but when I googled it, it came up on the American Ikea site. I wonder if they don't do it here anymore?

That's the kind of thing I'm looking for.

sometimes you can get these on ebay/freegle - i think ikea may have discontinued the range here. Good luck.

Where abouts in the country are you? We have the Ikea one that is now surplus to requirements and is in great condition.
