Gas being eating at alarming rate, please advise!

    Ah ok! Well I assumed something must've been wrong with something somewhere!
    Thanks for all your replies, shall just have to buy a low power electric heater

    If you have a prepay meter then you're paying much more for gas anyway they're a complete ripoff.
    Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D

    If it helps I am also on a prepayment meter and with the heating on 7-10 in the morning and 6-9 at night so 5 hours then I am going through £5 per day and that is just heating no hot water, with the water added into that it goes up to £6-£7 per day (not a combi).
    Your figures do sound right though your Cold Weather Payment is for a "cold" week to supplement extra gas you may have used due to the temperature being lower, You have got 5 days purely from the Cold Weather Payment, wheras its meant to supplement "extra" usage, which if the temp hadnt been lower than 0 for 7 days you would have still had your heating on and therefore been using gas.
