I want to save opera passwords

I have just started using opera and it has a build in password manager(wand)
and I am wondering if there is a way to save them passwords, so you dont have to type them again if had to reinstall opera.
(or export them like bookmarks)

Is this possible?

Thanks ;)

Yep, firstly find where your Opera profile is stored.

Open up Opera, open a new tab and put in "opera:about", press enter. Alternatively, open a new tab, and along the top go to "Help > About Opera".

Note down the path where your "Opera directory" is.

Open up My Computer, browse to the location. In the folder you should see a load of files. The important ones are:

    opera6.adr (Your bookmarks)
    wand (Your saved password)
    cookies4 (Your cookies)
I can't remember what the others are.

The best thing to do is store you Opera profile seperately from Windows. That way if something goes wrong with Windows, your profile is safe. I store mine on a seperate hard drive. To do this you'll need to edit the opera6.ini file. I can help you on this if needs be.

If you don't have this option, then your best bet is just to backup the whole profile folder to a cd or usb drive every so often.

If ever you need to export/import anything, along the top go to "File > Import and export" see if what you need is there.
