help understanding child care payments

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this one. I work 16hrs and oh full time, were putting ds into nursery 2 short days a week, so i can change my hours to days (been working evenings for 2 years now).

My question is as its a private nursey we have to pay the fees a month in advance (£280). spoken to tax credit people and we "should" qualify for 80% towards the costs, i have no problem paying the rest, but my question is will the fact its paid a month in advance be taken into account for the payments we receive, the women at tc dident understand what i was saying i dont think, and said not sure wait for the award notice.

Has anyone had the same situation, any advise greatly appreciated.

nce the award is calculated they will start paying you, so you may have to pay out your own pocket for the first payment.
