I bet they have all gone by midday.;)

Sorry to say I told you so, but I had a feeling these would sell out very quickly.

Good luck to those that got one... :T:T

Was at the store just before it opened - got in queue and they only had 5 and there was a dozen of us, so no joy.

The manager rang another bigger store 15 miles away, they had 10 all gone as soon as they opened.
Looks like someone didn't read my post #15!

I managed to get one. :j:j Got to my local store at 8 am they had five to sell. The manager came out and gave the first five people there a ticket to claim our computers. He rang another store at 9.05 for someone to see if they had any left and they had sold out too.

I read it, but wasn't prepared to queue at -13C this morning.

I suppose these are just 'loss-leaders' but I do wonder why they have so few for sale when they advertise them on the Aldi website and had adverts in the National papers today.

Ideal for a light user, wanting a solid machine for general office tasks, and the net, with no special demands regarding video editing, or FPS games imho

I'm looking to upgrade my old PC (works well but is 6 years old). The only reason I need to upgrade is for Video editing with my new HD Video and HD cameras. What specs should I consider essential, please?

    I suspect you are correct!

From what I can read the main difference for the extra £50 is the i3-530 processor with 3 GB DDR3 SDRAM and firewire card.

    Unless I have missed something.

I would guess the extra £50 is more to do with increased component prices in general (memory especially has been on the up for a while). The motherboards needed for the i3 processors are more expensive than the type used for Core 2's.
