Asda home delivery! Well done!

Earlier today was waiting for an interlink express delivery that didn't show. Reason was the weather. Fair enough, not quite sure what weather they meant as at the time there was no snow in West Cornwall and I drove the route the delivery driver took as the depot is near where I work and the roads were completely fine. Anyway later this evening the snow has arrived, blizzard like conditions and rapidly accumulating. We were expecting a delivery from Asda, they will never show I thought. But lo and behold a set of headlights pulls up in the blizzard. Well done Asda driver, well above the call of duty I would say. Just hope he gets home safe!

I had major surgery a few years ago and so couldn't go out to do my own shopping for a while. I couldn't lift anything heavy. So I put an internet order into Asda. The time slot I booked should have coincided with my son getting in from work but he was delayed.

When the driver arrived he obviously saw how ropey I looked and immediately offred to take it all upstairs into my kitchen for me (upstairs flat). He even offered to unpack it but I said that I could take it from there. I rang Asda to tell them what a credit their driver was to them and they were amazed because all people usually phoned them about were complaints!

We can be quick to criticise but slow to praise :beer:
