Major praise for AA!

Stupid stupid me left my lights on when I went into work this morning.

To be fair, my car usually 'beeps' when I open the door with the light on, but this didn't happen this morning, hence a flat battery when I left work!

Called the AA and they stated that they would send someone for me - this was at roughly 3.10pm. Got a text at 3.12pm to say that a driver would be with me by 3.30pm.

Sure enough, 3.30pm came and there was the AA man - car fixed by 3.40pm!

Well done AA!

  • When I saw the title I thought you had managed to dry out after the Christmas period and owed your success to the AA!

I hold the AA ( of the motoring variety lol) in very high regard, always a prompt and polite service. It does seem alot to fork out for something you might not need but when you do need the service it provides fantastic value for money.

    LOL@the 'other' AA!

I've been even more lucky and since my dad has been a member for goodness knows how many years, I get added on for £20 or so! :D

Very impressive, given that they must have been absolutely swamped this morning
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

i have to agree the AA are the best IMO, i know when my step dads clutch went he called the RAC, 4 hours later i went out to meet him as he was still waiting for a patrol, i called the AA whom i am with 25 mins they were there. We called the RAC to ask where the patol was and they said he should be with you in the hour, "thanks but you can forget it now". It wouldn't be so bad if this was just a once occassion but being an RAC member for the last 4 years before going to the AA there response times were very poor and the call centre is only useful if you know the postcode of where you are stranded.
When we got in touch with the RAC about the 4 hour + wait we found out they had sent the patrol to a village with same name as where my stepdad was stranded, in kent, he was stranded in North Devon.................which was clearly explained to them
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

I agree. The AA patrols do very well and have always given me very good service which is surprising really given the asset stripping scum who own the company and are trying to bleed it dry.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I recently had excellent service from the AA - first time I needed it in about 30 years of motoring - and was so impressed that I sent in an email praising the 2 AA blokes who helped me. One was sent from the wrong direction and couldn't take me back home as he'd be out of his 100km range so another had to be sent from the other direction.

Both vans came really promptly, both blokes rang me to say they were on the way and both were very courteous. This was on Boxing Day, in the wilds of Northumberland, bitterly cold and yet they were cheerful and knew what they were talking about, still couldn't fix the car but not their fault. As my car is only 6 months old I was pretty upset too!

I got a reply from my email thanking me saying "May I thank you for taking the time and trouble to send in your kind comments. They are most appreciated and have now been forwarded on to the manager of the member of staff in question in the form of a commendation".

If we are going to be fast to condem then we must be fast to praise too.

well done not enough people praise a company when they do something right, but they are always quick enough to complain when it isnt right!
