Bonus reduced due to time off (disability) - is this allowed?

if the sole grounds for paying the bonus is that you are an employee in the month of december, then not paying it on grounds of sickness is discriminatory, IF all your absences have been related to your disability.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I think 15 working days is the cut off point for full time pay, whilst sick, for a lot of companies. But most of these would also be talking to the employee before this point.
But, you know, I think the employer's attitude to it, really depends on whether or not the time off occurred in one go or over several different periods. ie, if you ended up in hospital for a month (for whatever reason), but returned to work and was not sick again that year - I think this would be looked at more favourably than someone who took 15-20 days off during the year over lots of different time periods for repeated colds etc. After all, you can take steps to improve your health and boost your immune system.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
