Clicked to remove the parition and got warning "all data will be lost" clicked OK and its all gone quite and in the disk management it is now showing 149gb unallocated with a black line above it. The normal C drive has a line above it shown in blue, with healthy etc. Is this supposed to happen. Also the old disk is whirring ???

You deleted the partition therfore it has no drive letter

you need to go back in to disk management right click the bit that says 149GB unalocated and create the partition just use the default settings. it will reappear now but you cant use it untill you format the drive.
