Difficult one. As others have said is depends what you want to do. At the moment it sounds like doing either would cause additional stress which is probably the last thing you need. Is there anyone you could go and stay with.

Miroslav wrote:Welcome geminilady ...Well, I am 30, which compared to 49 is 'youth' I suppose, although 49 is plenty of time left in the tank, touch wood. The difference though between 30 and 49, is the kind of relationships. 49 is more mature than 30 generally, so maybe I need to be 49, as less expectations on what I look like
Don't know how I missed this reply.:D
Oh Miro - what have you said?! Everyone who's 31+ will all be heading for the nearest cliffs like MSE lemmings! :rotfl:
Believe me angel, you'll be 49 before you know it!;)
Are you saying that at 49, people don't care what they look like?! At 42, I can tell you that if you put a Chippendale and Bruce Forsyth in front of me, I wouldn't be saying "nice to see you, to see you nice!":rotfl:As you'll know by now, Britney has filed for divorce - I bet you're a happy Miro!;)
Thanks for your lyrics - you did really well hun.:T

Hi blinky!
Was a bit stressed and frazzled at work this morning. Spoke to my bosses and laid it on the line how bad it had been over the weekend ( but didn't go as far as saying how close they came to losing me permanently) and said that I would have to cut back my workload. They were quite sympathetic - initially they said they were happy to cut back my hours to my contracted amount (don't you just love unpaid overtime - time in leiu sounds great but if you cannot get near your contracted hours how can you take time off) but I also said that I wouldn't be able to manage to be productive as I am normally. Again they were sympathetic.
You took some big steps today angel - well done you. I know all about high pressure jobs hun. When I became ill and had to be off work, I was receiving up to 20 calls a day because no-one else knew how to do things and because I was doing it, they didn't want to learn. Hopefully your bosses realise that you're invaluable and will stand by their word.
Spoke to my mother when she got in from work. Not surprisingly no support there - don't know why I bother....
The person I had been seeing has text me a couple of times and we are supposed to be meeting up for a drink on Thursday.
So in all it hasn't been a bad day - but now I'm tired I'm in a lot of mental pain and all I want to do is burst into tears
It's physically exhausting when you have mental ill health isn't it? Good luck with meeting your friend Thursday hun. Once you've joined our group, you're not on your own - post here any time angel. I don't know about Mum so can't comment but there are really kind people out there.
One thing which I didn't post about in the first megapost is my experiences with the NHS. If you are really acutely mentally ill you get sectioned and receive help. For the most G.P.'s skills is limited to dealing out antidepressants, not really their fault they don't have the time or the knowledge. So you get referred to the psychiatric department which may take between 3-12 months for an initial assessment. At which point you may get some further treatment options - these too often have waiting lists. For example I know up here it's an 18 month waiting list for an assessment for any CBT or psychotherapy...
Is it just me or this the wrong way of doing things? Remember this can be a serious life threatening illness.
Try and take heart from part of blinky's post where he says that people wait so long that somehow they've recovered and limping along. To me this says that we're stronger than we think sometimes and that if we're kind to ourselves, we can survive!;)
Limping along is so very, very painful and each person's pain is as important as anyone else's, but sadly we have to remember that there are people who can't even limp.
A Tiff idea:rolleyes: - check out your local hospital/GP/Mental health centre/newspapers/ local Volunteer Bureau as there are many groups out there to join and may help. Hope you're feeling better blinky - thinking of you. Much love,

Been to the docs, prescribe something that OH won't let me take, so I'm battling on alone atm. Go back on Monday, see if I've been refered - I hope so.
Good day yesterday, bad day today.
I'm sobering up now, rather drunk earlier.
Yeah, bad day
Thanks for asking, hope you are ok x
Hi fg hun!
I'm really glad you went to drs and got meds. I'm very UNglad that your OH won't let you take them  (Tiffy temper!).
Hun, you went to the drs because you needed to and you were given meds because you need them. There's no decision to be made here hun - look after yourself angel and take the meds please! Did you mention to dr about the alcohol hun? Shouldn't mix meds and drink - dangerous hun - is that why OH won't let you take them?
Some people feel that drink gets you through the day/hard times but it's a depressive and becomes part of the problem because you think you can't cope without it. I'd advise anyone to get help with putting the cap back on the bottle - we've got enough to deal with as it is!;) End of Tiff rant
Back to you fg, hun it's as simple as deciding how well you want to be. If you need more help angel, you can have it. Thinking of you.
Much love,

:wall: Hi Guys,
So here I am listening to Radio1, and I hear on the news that a 4 YEAR OLD has been diagnosed with depression!!!!! _pale_
I can't really comment because I don't know much about it (I know she couldn't go to the same new school as her friends) but I hope they got several medical second opinions before diagnosing this. Children can have mental ill health - and I'm in no way any professional - but I'd think there'd have to be some very serious symptoms to give a 4 year old this label. She must be very poorly for this?
And I can't for the life of me, think why anyone would give this info to the national media!
I'll have to go and find the story just so I know that the world's not gone mad.
Much Love,

blinky wrote:Another thought which sometimes makes me hard to change: If I didn't have low self esteem, anxiety and depression problems would I not have all the qualities my best friends see in me - kind, considerate, selfless and generous ?
I think part of me is scared that I'd lose those if I conquered my problems...
Hi blinky
Sometimes we become vulnerable to being used when we're ill. The things that happen to us take us on a journey and we eventually learn to remove the 'bad' bits and how to protect ourselves from abuse. You are who you are. It'd be so easy to get bitter and isolate ourselves, but there's a sting to bitterness and we'd end up hurting ourselves even more. After the things I've been trough, if this theory were true, I'd be like the Tazmanian Devil  - yep - I'd have to turn into Tazzy Tiff! :rotfl:
I think you should hold on to what your friends see in you and be grateful they're there & appreciate you for who you are and that they tell you about it too!;)
I think we're all scared of change. Sometimes the illness can seem easier to deal with because we're used to it and change infers a bit of a maze and we're scared we might get lost again. You'll be fine blinky.
