Has anyone received anything yet? There is a website where you can enter your postcode to see if your entitled, but it doesn't work with Northern Ireland, and according to Nolan this morning the Social security agency know nothing about it.

Many years ago I worked for the SSA and these were issued automatically except for a small number of cases that couldn't be calculated on the computer system because of faults.
They are targetted towards the most vulerable households - there must be a child under 5, a disabled person or someone over 60 in the house and there's a means test as well - whatever the current equivalent is for Income Support, MIG or income based JSA.
To be fair this is why the staff in the Social Security offices won't know anything yet. They'll have been issued with instructions about this at some stage today from Network Support Branch in Belfast via their district HQ. DSD are very quick to tell the public they are issuing these but the staff are likely to hear about it on the news like everyone else at first. If you qualify and haven't received anything by Thursday I'd ring your local office to enquire.

I have received £25 so far and a letter from CWP dept telling me I will get £25 per week if the temp is Freezing or below Freezing. What I want to know is , is this regional based or is it across the board for the over 60's?You live..You learn.:)0
