Fitted sheets

Hi all,
I have just bought a new king size bed frame and matching mattress, dimensions of mattress as per website are 150x200x20cm .. the actual depth is more like 17cm.
Stupidly I went out and bought 2 fitted sheets, 1 from M&S and 1 from Tesco - both Kingsize thinking that a King is a King right? Wrong!
Any idea where I can get some fitted sheets for the mattress? Most websites dont list depths of the sheets and the ones that do have all been too deep until now.
thanks!

My mum had same problem with her double bed as it's a deep mattress. A lot of the catalogues do deep fitted sheets, give them a go, that's what she bought. They were more expensive but definitely worth it4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I've just checked Dunelm's plain dye fitted sheets and it says they fit up to depth 25cm.
I think a King sheet is actually a King sheet regarding width and length but your problem is that your mattress is not as deep as most of the mattresses on the market now and that most sheets are now made for the deeper mattresses. I would have thought that generally it's the more budget end that have the shallower depth (less material, cheaper to make).
If you want to buy online I suggest you email and ask what the depth is - if they wont help they're not worth buying from! (I recently emailed one website to ask the depth of a valance and got a quick response). If you go to a bricks and mortar shop I would take a tape measure and ask them if they will open a packet so you can measure so you don't make the mistake of buying sheets too deep again, hopefully the shop will be helpful.
Failing that would you be willing to use a flat sheet?0 -
I found that the cheaper range of supermarket fitted sheets (ie Asda) were not so deep as the more expensive sheets. The quality is fairly good and the ones I bought were two for £9.0

There is another thread on this subject here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2164767&highlight=mattress
Until recent years most mattresses were up to 8" deep. However many quality mattresses are now 10" deep. The sheets are available, but you have to look for the ones designed for deep mattresses.0 -

Oh I found they were rubbish unfortunatelyI bought some and found them impossible to get over the mattress beading. But something like clips on elastic is possible I think.
Although I would have thought if the mattress is thinner than normal and you bought fitted sheets which are fully elasticated you should be ok? I know you can get deeper sheets but don't know about shallower ones, I know I bought sheets from Primark and they weren't deep enough for my (normal depth) mattress0 -
We get our deep fitted sheets from Dunhelm. They are not expensive and wash well.0

OP doesn't want deep sheets. He's already tried them and they're too big for his mattress. He needs a fitted sheet with a depth that will fit a mattress only 17cm deep.0

Try wallace and sacks online. I have just got egyptian 200 thread fitted sheets for about 7 quid. Top quality and they should go over your mattressFreePremiershipOnline.com - your guide to free streaming football0
