Paypal problems

I have purchased 3 items on Ebay - paid via paypal - all verified sellers in UK. Paypal have removed monies from my bank account yet have not cleared payments after 14 - 16 days and needless to sayEmails to them are a complete waste of time - they quote 9 days clearance, 5 on others, 14 on another and noone can ever give me a straight answer on the phone. Of course I don't have goods either.Wondered if someone can advise as to what to do? Should I make complaint directly to FSO?

It sounds like you've paid with e-cheques. They are notoriously slow.
Perhaps your credit card has expired? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Oh wonderful echeques, how we sellers love them...not
They can take 2 full weeks to clear and the sellers are correct in not sending the goods until they receive cleared payments as they can bounce back for all sorts of odd reasons.
My only suggestion would be to add a credit card to your paypal and only use that when buying in future as that is instant. It also has the added bonus that you have a second fall back position if you don't get your goods.

...2 weeks, in working days that is, i.e. nearly 3 actual weeks to clear
NEVER use E-cheques, ALWAYS (when possible) use a credit card to fund the paymentmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
