car adverts

Has anyone noticed that car adverts tell you very little about the actual car?

The latest that springs to mind is the C3 Viseodrive swinging through the air? Very nice maybe but what does it tell you about the car?

I was under the understanding that in adverts they cant make false claims. SO a bit like the swinging through the air or any of the stupid car ads, how do they get away with it?

A bit like the carlsberg ads, they were not allowed to say it is the best beer so they used probably.

It has a " Panoramic " window, that will (a) blind you in bright sun, or (b) burn your head.

Perhaps if they concentrated on quality control they may do better.

The car adverts just get sillier.

Sorry inactive but all glass sunroofs should be polarised therefore those with a hairless top 'should' be ok!!! Also adverts now are all about 'lifestyle' rather than the car itself. Its because of draconian laws by those in power. Remember the 206(iirc) advert 'take my breath away' with the burning field behind the car? BANNED, why? because of the burning field that might encourage young people (yuff) to set fire to things etc etc.

But I'm fairly sure that this isn't a " sunroof " it is a panoramic windscreen which appears to extend over the normal top of the car.

I just wish the C3 would drop off of the ropes in to the ocean.

It would break down 3 times before it hit the water..... And it still should be polarised! whether blended polarisation or full!
